This November TDA Insurance & Financial is partnering with the Hospitality House Food Pantry of Walled Lake to help in their annual Santa Shop food and toy drive for the holiday season. The idea to partner with the Hospitality House was brought up by Personal Lines Account Manager Terri Dunlop. Terri knew about the Santa Shop by volunteering at her local Walled Lake church St. Matthew’s.
Terri said, “Helping with the Santa Shop has been one of the most amazing experiences of her life. Seeing how many kids get to experience the joy of the holiday season, because of the community coming together to help so inspiring to see. It is something special for me that TDA is partnering with the Hospitality House for the event this holiday season.”
The Santa Shop helps give gifts to over 600 children in the community. The donated toys are set up on tables by age range and the parent gets to choose a gift or two for their children, and then take them to the wrapping station to take home and put under the tree. The food donated is given to the families to try to help provide meals for the holidays as well.
TDA is a designated drop-off site this year for the Santa Shop. At our monthly staff meeting, the Personal Lines Team and the Commercial Lines Team squared off in a battle of decorating the boxes.
One box is for the toys and one for the food. They are located right within our door here at the TDA. We are open 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Friday. We are asking our clients, friends, families, and local community to stop by and see us this month to help support a good cause. Please help us spread the word!
